CARDOSO'S TASK
Tema(s): En: Financial Times 6 oct. 1998, p. 23Resumen: Now comes the hard work. Fernando Henrique Cardoso, Brazil's president, appears to have won an historic victory as well as a mandate for tough reforms. A fiscal deficit approaching 8 per cent of gross domestic product is the root of the problem. Mr. Cardoso must now lay out a tough, credible and sustainable programme for fiscal reform. Brazil will also need international support to break the downward spiral of investors' expectations. Given that the real is overvalued, by as much as 20 per cent, devaluation looks inevitable.Tipo de ítem | Biblioteca actual | Signatura topográfica | Info Vol | Estado | Fecha de vencimiento | Código de barras | |
