N2  - Ecuador plans to ask the World Trade Organisation in May for permission to impose more than US200m worth in trade retaliation against European Union goods, services and intellectual property in their banana dispute, the country's WTO ambassador said on Monday. Roberto Betancourt said detailed plans for trade sanctions were being drawn up to comply with the ruling by WTO arbitrators, published on Friday, that Ecuador was entitled to claim US201.6m for trade losses arising from the EU's discriminatory banana import regime
